Only sustainably grown and harvested hardwoods are used. Every board is cut, assembled and finished by hand in a solar-powered woodshop in St. Louis, Missouri. The contrasting colors are achieve solely through the natural tone of the wood, never with stain or dye. All boards are finished with food grade mineral oil and natural beeswax. 

We recommend following U.S. FDA Safe Food and Handling Guidelines: use one cutting board for fresh produce and a separate board for raw meat, poultry and seafood. After each use, wash both sides of the board to prevent uneven water absorption, which can lead to warping. Allow the board to air dry in a vertical position. NEVER place you board in the dishwasher or submerge in water. 

With use and over time, you will need to re-season your board. You can use any cutting board or butcher block available wherever kitchen supplies are sold.
